I'm really torn here; almost as much as their convertible top is. I'd love to own another S2000, but if selling it is going to be as difficult as the one I have, then I'd pass.

It's also pretty damn rough, even for that money. I normally buy cars dirty and rough, but this car was clearly never loved.

if it runs with no mechanical issues at all? NP. easy to replace the bumper and top and give it a good detailing.

Well, the top will run you $600-ish, and he say he has the bumper already... I just don't know what the salvage title will do to the end value. Might be a good candidate to buy and keep.

Make him do the legwork to turn that salvage into a rebuilt title and you have yourself a deal.

It would be too hard to sell with a salvage title. Especially if you hoped to get your money back after replacing the top, and fixing the bumper. It could be salvaged because the top was cut to gain entry, and the seats were stolen. I've seen a few totalled for those 2 things here in Atlanta.

On the other hand i can't help but think if I was a pizza delivery driver how fun this car would be for pizza duty. Or even as a trackday car.

But salvage title hurts the value. You could only sell it for $8500 max. That's my guestimate at least.

I used to be a pizza delivery driver actually. I did it in a WRX, and I still think it's the perfect delivery car.

The S2000 rides WAY too hard to do that, but it you didn't plan on reselling this S2000, it's an ok deal.

Rebuilt and salvage are the same in Kansas, as far as I know.

I think you'd be lucky to get 6 or 7 for it with the salvage title, even after tidying it up. I'd stay away, too much work for little to no profit.
